Cycle To Farm is a unique cycling experience. Enjoy a challenging and beautiful route with Farm Stops along the way offering a taste of local food. This event offers:
Awesome Routes
Metric Century
- 63 miles through beautiful Western North Carolina on (mostly) low-traffic roads
- Challenging climbing (scale the Continental Divide at least twice!)
- Almost all rural farm and forest
15 Mile Option
- 15 miles in and around Black Mountain on (mostly) low-traffic roads
- Gentle, rolling terrain (no big climbs)
- A mixture of quiet town streets and country roads
Innovative Farm Stops
- Local Farms host each rest stops at their farms
- Great bike food at the rest stops (bagels, bananas, PB&J, etc)
- Tasty samples from the Farms (no charge – these are included in Registration Fee)
- Buy anything you like on the spot; delivered to you at the Finish (no delivery charge)
Fully-Supported Ride
In addition to the great Farm Stops, we’re going to take care of you, so you can safely challenge your abilities:
- Free locally-roasted coffee at the Start (Thanks Dynamite Coffee!)
- Bike mechanic support at the Start (Thanks Liberty Bikes!)
- Yoga and Stretching at the Start (Thanks Black Mountain Yoga and Cairn Bodyworks!)
- SAG (Support and Gear) Vehicles on course (to help and give you a ride back if necessary)
